The first matches of the main draw of the international professional tennis tournament ITF MEN`S WORLD TENNIS TOUR – Grand Palace Cup by Formula TX with the prize pool of 15 000 USD were played at the courts of the Tennis Formula in Lakhta on Tuesday, February 2.
The representative of Ukraine Marat Devyatyarov (651) outplayed Russian Mikhail Gorokhov 6/1, 6/3, and Russian tennis player Alexei Zakharov (422) lost only three games to German A Wolfschmidt 6/1, 6/2.
Russian tennis player Ivan Gakhov (498) reached the 2nd round on the refusal of his compatriot Alexei Abazov: losing the first set 1/6, his rival withdrew. Meanwhile, Latvian Kārlis Ozolins (1013) defeated wild card holder Daniil Golubev (6/3, 6/1), and Czech Martin Krumic (1119) defeated Russian Boris Pokotilov (7/5, 6/0).
